This virus mostly causes infection in the rodents but may not cause disease in them. However, if a person comes in contact with the i<strong>nfected rodent\u2019s saliva, urine and faeces <\/strong>or if the <strong>infected rodent bites<\/strong> the person then he may become infected with the Hantaviruses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like other viruses, Hantaviruses have many strains as well but not all the strains are lethal for humans. However, some strains can cause serious diseases such as <strong>\u201cHantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS)\u201d <\/strong>or <strong>\u201cHantavirus Cardiopulmonary Syndrome (HCPS)\u201d<\/strong> and are known as <strong>\u201cNew World\u201d viruses in America.<\/strong> <strong>\u201cOld World\u201d viruses <\/strong>which cause <strong>\u201cHantavirus hemorrhagic fever with Renal Syndrome (HFRS)\u201d<\/strong> are normally found in <strong>Asia <\/strong>and<strong> Europe. <\/strong>Other Hantaviruses are not known to cause disease in humans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"the_similarity_between_hantavirus_and_covid-19\"><\/span>The Similarity Between Hantavirus and COVID-19:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the specific rodent host for each Hantavirus, the <strong>incubation period<\/strong> of the virus is not known exactly.
