Pseudoephedrine constricts blood vessels in nose and sinuses. It shrinks the swelling and drains fluids. Dextromethorphan decreases the activity in the part of the brain that causes coughing. Triprolidine binds to the histamine H1 receptor. This blocks the action of endogenous histamine, which subsequently leads to temporary relief of the negative symptoms brought on by histamine.

• Other cold, flu or allergy medications
• MAO inhibitors
• opioids or cough suppressants
• isocarboxacid
• rasagiline
