    Atracurium antagonizes the neurotransmitter action of acetylcholine by binding competitively with cholinergic receptor sites on the motor end-plate.

    Atracurium is utilized for the following therapeutic indications:

    • Facilitation of muscle relaxation during surgical procedures
    • Induction of anesthesia
    • Assistance in mechanical ventilation
    • Management of muscle spasms in critically ill patients
    • Facilitation of endotracheal intubation
    • Support for procedures requiring muscle paralysis
    • Enhancement of surgical conditions for improved visualization
    • Use in patients with renal impairment, as it is metabolized by non-specific plasma esterases
