Seek immediate medical attention in case of overdose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose then the missed dose can be skipped.

It is important to take every dose of this medicine with food or milk, infant formula, pudding, porridge or both

Do not take without doctor's approval in case of:

• pregnancy
• allergy to one or both salts
• you are using carbamazepine, phenytoin, rifampin, St. John's wort

Common side effects include:

• headaches and dizziness
• fever, cough and fatigue
• muscle pain and tenderness
• joint pain
• loss of appetite and vomiting

Your healthcare provider needs to know if you have any of these conditions:

• an allergic reaction to using these meds
• are pregnanct or planning to be

Drugs that can interact with Artemether and Lumefantrine include:

• Other anti-malarial drugs
• heart and BP medications
• antidepressants
• anti-psychotics
• antibiotics,anti-fungals and anti-virals
• hormonal replacement therapy and birth control pills

Grapefruit may interact with artemether and lumefantrine and hence should be avoided
