Aquazole (1/1%) 20g Cream

Clotrimazole belongs to a group of medicines called imidazoles which destroy the fungi and some bacteria that cause skin infections. Hydrocortisone acetate is a mild steroid which reduces swelling, redness and itching associated with inflammation of the skin.

This medicine treats and relieves sensitive, itching, inflamed fungal skin infections that include:

• Tinea (athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm)
• Fungal skin rash, thrush infections of the skin
• Fungally infected nappy rash & mild eczema/dermatitis

Apply this cream to the affected area twice daily for 2-4 weeks.

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the cream. Before using the cream, clean and dry the area of your skin that needs the medicine. Use only a thin layer on the affected area, and be careful not to exceed the prescribed duration of use. If the affected area is usually covered with clothing, opt for loose clothing while using the cream. Gently massage the cream into the affected skin.

Do not use hydrozole cream if:

• You are allergic to it or its constituents.
• You have a viral or bacterial skin infection.
• You have circulatory problems or pruritis (itchy skin).
• Do not use hydrozole cream just before having a bath or going swimming.

The most common side effects of hydrozole cream are:

• Burning
• Itching
• Redness
• Irritation

Before using this medicine, make sure to follow these precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you are suffering from any serious illness that may be affecting your immune system.
• Avoid contact with this cream with your eyes, nose, mouth, and vagina.
• Avoid rubbing this cream vigorously over the affected area.
• Do not use hydrozole cream for longer than it is prescribed.
