Acts as a functional antagonist in the mesolimbic dopamine pathway and reduces extent of dopaminergic pathway activity. This results in reduced postive symptoms of schizophrenia and extrapyramidal motor side effects

• mania associated with bipolar disorder

Overdose repurcussions include gastrointestinal disturbances, somnolence, orthostatic hypotension, cardiac disturbances, tachycardia. Seek medical attention in case of overdose

Consult a doctor in case of missed dose

To be taken with a glass of water with or without food

Do not use this medication if you are allergic to any of its constituents

Common side effects include:

• extreme tiredness
• dry mouth
• muscle twitching
• weight gain
• fast heartbeat

Do not drive unless you know how this medciine affects you

Interactions may occur with:

• anti-malarial drugs
• anti-depressants
• anti-convulsants
• rifampin
• lorazepam
