Do not use in case of:

• Without consulting a doctor if you have an irregular heartbeat, or have had a heart attack, angina, or any other heart problems
• If you have recently had a stroke or TIA (transient ischaemic attack)
• You have any breathing problems or asthma
• If you have any allergies to any other medicines, food, or other substances
• If you have any digestive problems such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease
• If you have any kidney problems or are having dialysis treatment
• If you have any liver problems

• Nausea
• Dry mouth
• Increased heart rate
• Constipation
• Diarrhea
• Headaches
• Insomnia
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Irritability

Precautions include:

• Do not use bamifylline if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients.
• Some people feel dizzy or sleepy after taking bamifylline. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how it affects you.
• Do not stop or change the dosage of any medicines you take without talking to your doctor.
• If you have severe liver or kidney disease, or if you have a serious infection, you may need a lower dose or may not be able to take bamifylline at all.
