Clindamycin 1%, Anhydrous Benzoyl Peroxide 5% is a topical combination medication used for the treatment of acne vulgaris and is effective in reducing the number of acne lesions, including inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions.

Treatment of acne vulgaris.

Apply a thin layer to the affected areas once daily, usually in the evening.

In case of overdose, seek medical attention. Overuse may lead to skin irritation and adverse effects.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose then the missed dose can be skipped.

Here is how to use the gel:

• Wash and pat dry the affected area before application.
• Apply a pea-sized amount to the entire affected area, avoiding eyes, lips, and mucous membranes.

Use sunscreen and protective clothing during sun exposure.

Do not use in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide, or lincomycin.

Common side effects include:

• Dryness, peeling, redness, and burning at the application site.
• Serious side effects are rare but may include severe skin reactions.

•Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and nose. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly. •Prolonged use may lead to bacterial resistance.

No significant drug interactions reported. However, inform healthcare professionals about all topical and systemic medications.
