Product Information
Nebivolol, the active ingredient in Nebivolol 10mg Tablets, is a beta-adrenergic blocking agent, commonly known as a beta-blocker. Its primary mechanism of action involves selective beta-1 receptor blockade in the heart, which reduces the heart rate and decreases the force of contraction. By blocking beta-1 receptors, Nebivolol inhibits the effects of catecholamines like adrenaline, leading to a decrease in cardiac output and blood pressure. This action helps in the management of hypertension and certain cardiovascular conditions. Nebivolol also exhibits vasodilatory properties by enhancing the release of nitric oxide, which contributes to its overall effectiveness in lowering blood pressure and improving cardiovascular function.
