  • Description

    Imipenem/cilastatin is a combination medication consisting of imipenem, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, and cilastatin, an inhibitor of renal dehydropeptidase. This combination is designed to enhance the stability of imipenem by preventing its degradation in the kidneys. Imipenem belongs to the carbapenem class of antibiotics, providing coverage against a wide range of bacterial infections.
