    Enoxaparin binds to antithrombin 3, a serine protease inhibitor, forming a complex that irreversibly inactivates factor 10a, thus inhibiting the formation of clots

    Used to:

    • prevent blood clots in the leg in patients who are on bedrest or who are having hip replacement, knee replacementor stomach surgery.
    • in combination with aspirin to prevent complications from angina and heart attacks
