Clindacin (1%) 10g Gel

Clindamycin phosphate is an antibiotic that is used to treat acne by stopping the growth of bacteria on the skin. It decreases toxin production and increases microbial opsonization and phagocytosis even at subinhibitory concentrations

Anti-bacterial

Used to treat:

• acne vulgaris
• fine wrinkles, rough skin and dark spots

To be applied once daily as a thin layer on affected area or as prescribed by doctor

Skin redness, scaling or irritation can occur due to excess application. Consult a doctor in case of overdose.

Do not apply extra to make up for mixed dose

Apply using an applicator as per pictoral instructions on the leaflet

Not to use in case of damaged or burned skin or in case of allergic reaction to clindamycin

Side effects include:

• skin irritation, dryness or redness
• burning or stinging sensation
• itching or rash
• increased sensitivity to light
• blisters or scaling

Practice caution in case of:

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding
• An allergic reaction to the medicine
• changes in skin color or pigmentation
• sunburns

Consult a doctor in case you are using:

• formulations containing salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide
• other acne medications
• topical retinoids
• antibiotics
• skin exfoliants
• sulfonamides
