Clobederm-S (0.5/20mg) 20ml Lotion

Salicylic acid is a hydroxybenzoic acid that is used to treat skin conditions such as acne and psoriasis. It is a topical peeling agent, analgesic, and antirheumatic. Clobetasol propionate exerts its effect by binding to cytoplasmic glucocorticoid receptors and subsequently activates glucocorticoid receptor mediated gene expression. This results in synthesis of certain anti-inflammatory proteins, while inhibiting the synthesis of certain inflammatory mediators.

Antipsoriatic and corticosteroid.

Used in:

• more resistant dermatoses
• recalcitrant eczemas and psoriasis
• dermatitis

To be taken as per doctor's prescription

Monitor patients for adverse reactions and consult a doctor immediately

Try not to miss a dose. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. Then continue your normal schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.

Apply as per doctor's instructions on affected area

Do not use in case of broken, burned or thin skin

Common side effects include:

• acne or pimples
• burning sensation
• lightening of normal skin color
• softening of skin

Do not use in case you have skin thinning

Ths may interact with:

• other topical corticosteroids
• betamethasone
• triamcinolone
• ritonavir
• itraconazole
• systemic aminoglycoside therapy
• neuromuscular blocking agents
