Aminophylline is a combination of theophylline (a methylxanthine) and ethylenediamine. • Cough and Asthma - Adults 10-20 ml taken every 4-6 hours as needed. Children (6-12 years) 5-10 ml every 4-6 hours as needed. Children (2-6 years) 2.5-5 ml every 4-6 hours as needed
• Bronchitis - Adults 10-20 ml taken every 4-6 hours as needed. Children (6-12 years) 5-10 ml every 4-6 hours as needed. Children (2-6 years) 2.5-5 ml every 4-6 hours as needed
• Allergic Rhinitis - Adults 10-20 ml taken every 4-6 hours as needed. Children (6-12 years) 5-10 ml every 4-6 hours as needed. Children (2-6 years) 2.5-5 ml every 4-6 hours as needed

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double up.

• Elderly patients with confusion should avoid using this medication, as they are more prone to adverse effects.

• Cosome E may enhance the effects of alcohol; therefore, alcohol should be avoided.
