Misoprostol is a synthetic prostaglandin E1 analog that inhibits basal and nocturnal gastric acid secretion through direct stimulation of receptors on the parietal cells in stomach

Diclofenac in combination with misoprostol is used to treat pain, swelling and joint stiffness from arthritis in patients who are at risk of getting peptic or duodenal ulcers

Use and dose must be determined by the doctor. Usually taken once daily

Symptoms of overdose may include diarrhea that doesn't stop, severe stomach pain, severe drowsiness, shallow breathing, seizures. Consult a doctor immediately in case you take more than prescribed dose.

• if you are pregnant or planning to conceive
• right before or after heart bypass surgery
