    Clindamycin phosphate is an antibiotic that is used to treat acne by stopping the growth of bacteria on the skin. It decreases toxin production and increases microbial opsonization and phagocytosis even at subinhibitory concentrations

    The following dosage schedule may be followed:

    • The usual dose is 150mg every 6 hours, or as directed by the healthcare provider.

    In case of overdose, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms may include severe stomach pain, persistent vomiting, or changes in the amount of urine.

  • Missed Dose

    Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose then the missed dose can be skipped.

    Take clindamycin orally with a full glass of water with or without food

  • When Not to Use

    Do not use in case of:

    • Do not use in the presence of a known allergy to clindamycin or lincomycin.
    • Avoid use in individuals with a history of colitis, Crohn's disease, or ulcerative colitis.
