The oral administration of serratiopeptidase tablets reduce pain and inflammation. The enzyme has its mode of action on arachidonic acid pathway (COX I and COX II), and acts on the cyclooxygenase pathway, but not on the lipooxygenase pathway (LOX)

Proteolytic enzyme, anti-edematous drug

It is indicated as an anti-inflammatory, anti-edemic and analgesic in:

• post-surgery
• orthopaedics
• otorhinolaryngology
• gynaecology
• dentistry
• infections
• maxillofacial trauma

To be used as per doctor's prescription

Seek medical attention in case of overdose

In case of missed dose, never take 2 doses together for compensation, always take one dose at one time and try to regulate your dosing schedule.

Swallow with a glass of water with or without food.

Do not use in case of:

• pregnancy or breastfeeding
• hypersensitivity to the drug itself

Side effects include:

• nausea
• stomach upset
• poor appetite
• cough
• muscle and joint pain

Avoid use in case of bleeding disorders as it may cause worsening of situation

This medication may interact with these drugs:

• warfarin
• aspirin
• fish oil
• supplements like garlic or turmeric
