  • Description

Ephedrine primarily acts as a stimulant on the alpha and beta-adrenergic receptors. It stimulates these receptors, leading to bronchodilation by relaxing the smooth muscles surrounding the airways. Naphazoline, a sympathomimetic amine, exerts its action by selectively binding to and activating alpha-adrenergic receptors in the arterioles of the nasal mucosa. This activation causes vasoconstriction, thereby reducing nasal congestion and associated symptoms. Fluprednisolone, a synthetic corticosteroid, works by inhibiting the production of various inflammatory mediators. When administered as a spray, it reduces inflammation in the nasal passages by suppressing the release of histamine, leukotrienes, and other inflammatory substances, providing relief from nasal symptoms.

An overdose of Ephedrine can lead to a dangerous increase in heart rate and blood pressure, while Naphazoline, when ingested in excess, may cause central nervous system depression. Fluprednisolone Spray, if used excessively, can result in systemic corticosteroid effects. Prompt medical intervention is vital in managing these overdoses to prevent potential complications.

  • Missed Dose

In the case of a missed dose of Ephedrine, take it as soon as you remember, but if it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule. For Naphazoline, if you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember, but avoid applying a double dose to make up for the missed one. With Fluprednisolone Spray, if you forget to use it, administer the missed dose as soon as possible, but if it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
