This medicine is used to treat cognitive decline. It contains Galantamine HBr which works by increasing the amount of a natural substance in the brain, needed for memory and thought patterns. It may improve the ability to think and remember or slow the loss of these abilities in people with Alzheimer's disease.

Galantamine HBr is utilized for the following therapeutic indications:

• Treating mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease
• Enhancing cognitive function
• Managing symptoms of dementia

Follow these dosage instructions:

• Take as per doctor's Prescription.
• Take one tablet per day as prescribed by the doctor, through mouth with a glass of water.
• Take the tablet at a scheduled day regularly to get the most benefit.
• Your doctor will determine the treatment length based on your symptom severity.

Seek emergency medical help if you think you have overdosed on Galantamine Hbr. Watch out for symptoms like seizures, tremors, large pupils, irregular breathing and heartbeat, nausea, vomiting, increased muscle weakness and sweating, greatly increased watering of the mouth.

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Take the tablet whole with a glass of water. It is recommended to take the medicine same time every day.

You should not use this medication if you are:

• Hypersensitive to galantamine or its components
• If you are a lactating mother.

You should practice these cautions before taking the medicine:

• Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant, and there’s no safer alternative available.
• Talk to your doctor if you have hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to any of the components in the medicine.
• Talk to your doctor if you have a liver or kidney disease.
• Avoid drinking alcohol while using this medicine.
• Tell your doctor if you have asthma, bronchitis, or other respiratory diseases.
• Do not drive after taking this medicine.

The medication may interact with the following drugs:

• Anticholinergic medicines
• Cholinergic medicines
• Certain medicines used to treat fungal infections (such as ketoconazole) or bacterial infections (such as erythromycin)
• Certain medicines used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, or anxiety (such as paroxetine, fluoxetine, and fluvoxamine)

Store the medicine at room temperature and keep out of direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and animals. Do not use the medication past its expiration date.
