Deprel (100mg) 30 Tablets

This medicine is used to treat symptoms of depression. It contains Trazodone which works by increasing a chemical in the brain, serotonin, also known as the happy hormone.

Serotonin Antagonist and Reuptake Inhibitor (SARIs)

This medication is used to treat:

• Depression (a mood disorder that results in a chronic feeling of sadness and loss of interest)
• Anxiety (a feeling of restlessness and unease)
• It might support increased energy, appetite, and mood.

Follow these dosage instructions:

• Take as per doctor's Prescription.
• Take one tablet per day as prescribed by the doctor, through mouth with a glass of water.
• Take the tablet at a scheduled day regularly to get the most benefit.
• Your doctor will determine the treatment length based on your symptom severity.

Seek emergency medical help if you think you have overdosed on Trazodone. Watch out for symptoms like severe drowsiness, vomiting, heartbeat irregularities, seizures, respiratory arrest, decreased libido.

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Take the tablet whole with a glass of water. It is recommended to take the medicine same time every day.

You should not take this medication if:

• If you are allergic to trazodone or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• If you have recently had a heart attack
• If you are a heavy drinker or if you are taking sleeping tablets
• If you are under 18 years of age

This medication may pose the following side effects:

• Thoughts of harming or killing yourself
• Feeling tired, faint, dizzy, having pale skin
• Convulsions, fits (seizures)
• Unusual skin sensations such as numbness, tingling, pricking, burning or creeping on the skin
• Feeling confused, restless, sweating, shaking, shivering, hallucinations, sudden jerks of the muscles, or a fast heartbeat, you may have something called Serotonin syndrome
• Feeling very unwell possibly with shortness of breath, difficulty in walking or walking with a shuffling gait, shaking, uncontrolled muscle twitching, and a high temperature
• Rapid, slow, or irregular heartbeat.

You should practice these cautions before taking the medicine:

• Talk to your doctor if you have hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to any of the components in the medicine.
• If you are elderly, you may be more prone to the side effects, talk to your doctor about adjusting the dose.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking this medication.
• This medication makes you sleepy, so don't drive and operate heavy machinery.

This medication may interact with these drugs:

• MAOI (Mono Amine Oxidase Inhibitors) medicines
• Muscle relaxants and inhaled anesthetics
• Other antidepressants such as amitriptyline or fluoxetine
• Sedatives such as tranquilizers and sleeping pills
• Medicines used to treat epilepsy
• Medicines used to treat high blood pressure (e.g. clonidine) or heart disease (e.g. digoxin)
• Medicines used to treat fungal infections
• Some medicines used to treat HIV such as ritonavir and indinavir
• Warfarin
• Phenothiazines

Store the medicine at room temperature and keep out of direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and animals. Do not use the medication past its expiration date.
