Dexlansoprazole is used to treat the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD; a condition in which backward flow of acid from the stomach causes heartburn and possible injury of the esophagus [tube between the throat and stomach]) in adults and children 12 years of age and older.
Side Effects
Burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or tingling feelings.
chest pain, discomfort, tightness, or heaviness.
continuing stomach pain.
difficult or labored breathing.
Precautions & Warnings
Check with your doctor right away if you have watery stool that does not go away, stomach pain, and fever while taking this medicine. Dexlansoprazole may increase your risk of having fractures of the hip, wrist, and spine
