Product Information
Diclofenac Sodium 50mg Tablet primarily exerts its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects through inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, particularly COX-2. By blocking these enzymes, diclofenac interferes with the production of prostaglandins, which are key mediators in the inflammatory process. This mechanism leads to reduced inflammation, pain relief, and decreased fever. Specifically, diclofenac inhibits the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandin H2, a precursor of various prostaglandins and thromboxanes, thus suppressing the inflammatory response in the body. This action underlies the therapeutic benefits of diclofenac in managing pain, inflammation, and fever associated with various conditions.
