DIMED S LOTION 25ML

This medication is used to treat fungal skin infections. It contains Betamethasone Dipropionate which works by activating the natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, itching, and burning sensations.

Betamethasone, Salicylic Acid combination is utilized for the following therapeutic indications:

• Treatment of psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis
• Management of keratolytic effects to help reduce scaling and thickened skin
• Relief of inflammation, itching, and redness
• Enhancement of the penetration of topical medications through the skin

Follow these dosage instructions:

• Take as per doctor's Prescription.
• Apply the lotion on the affected site at least once daily.
• Your doctor will determine the treatment length based on your symptom severity.

If you think you have used too much of this medicine, talk to your doctor. Seek medical emergency help immediately. Watch out for overdose symptoms like irregular heartbeat, burning or itching skin, deafness, depression, altered mental state etc.

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Wash your hands thoroughly before using the lotion. Use your fingertips to take a little amount of the lotion, almost a thickness of 1/16cm, and apply the lotion daily as your doctor has recommended. Take the medication regularly and at the same time each day to get the most benefit from it.

You should not use this medication, if:

• You are allergic to any component of the medication.
• You develop an allergic reaction after using the medication.
• Don't use it for any other skin infection other than the one you are getting treatment for.

Common side effects include:

• Redness, stinging, blistering, peeling, swelling, itching, burning, skin rash, dryness of the skin
• Inflammation of the hair follicles; excessive hair growth
• Darkening of the skin; allergic skin reactions; dermatitis around the mouth
• Blurred vision.

It would be best if you practiced these cautions before taking the medicine:

• Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or lactating, and there’s no safer alternative available.
• Avoid prolonged day use in children, don't use this medication to treat diaper rash.
• Avoid excessive use as corticosteroids can change certain hormone levels in the body.

Tell your doctor or chemist about any medications you are currently taking, have recently taken, or may take in the future, including over-the-counter medications.

Store the medicine at room temperature and keep out of direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and animals. Do not use the medication past its expiration date.
