    Carbidopa, is a dopamine agonist that helps restore the balance of a brain chemical called dopamine. Levodopa, is a precursor to dopamine, which means it is converted into dopamine in the brain, helping to reduce the symptoms of Parkinson's disease such as muscle stiffness and tremors. Together, carbidopa and levodopa are effective in improving symptoms of Parkinson's disease and slowing down the progression of the disease. Entacapone improves effect of levodopa
