Zoledronic acid is a potent inhibitor of bone resorption. It induces osteoclast apoptotic cell death and inhibits osteoclast proliferation.

Bisphosphonates

It is used to treat:

• hypercalcemia due to cancer
• bone problems with multiple myeloma
• slows calcium loss from bones
• Paget's disease and osteoporosis

It's crucial to be informed of the potential risks associated with an overdose. Overdose may be life-threatening in some cases. Time is of the essence, therefore, seek medical care immediately

Do not take in case of pregnancy or allergy to zoledronate

• pregnancy
• bleeding disorders
• dental diseases
• problems related to kidney or lungs
• low calcium levels or low RBCs

Zoledronic acid may react with these:

• certain IV antibiotics
• NSAIDs
• diuretics
• teriparatide

This drug is given at a hospital or clinic and is not to be kepta t home. If not used immediately, in-use storage times and conditions prior to use are the responsibility of the user and would normally not be longer than 24 hours at 2°C – 8°C. Let it reach to room temperature before use after refrigeration
