    Evion capsules are used to treat vitamin E deficiency due to:

    • Malabsorption (inability to absorb nutrients)
    • Congenital (by birth) or hereditary (inherited) chronic cholestasis (long-term blockage in the liver)
    • Intermittent claudication (cramping in the leg)
    • Various fertility disturbances
  • Dosage

    Follow these dosage instructions:

    • Adult Dosage

    Take one capsule daily or as recommended by your doctor. These capsules are not for chronic use (more than 6 months). Your doctor will determine the length of the treatment and may adjust the dose after some time.

    • Child Dosage

    The dosage for the child is strictly recommended by the doctor.

  • In case of Overdose

    Vitamin E toxicity is rare, but occasionally high doses cause a risk of bleeding, as well as muscle weakness, fatigue, nausea, and diarrhea. The greatest risk from vitamin E toxicity is bleeding. Seek emergency medical help if you think you have taken too much of this medicine.

  • Missed Dose

    If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

  • How To Use

    Evion Capsule works best if you take it with food. Swallow the capsule whole with an adequate amount of water, do not crush or chew them.

  • When Not to Use

    This medication should not be used in preterm newborns.

  • Side Effects

    A common side effect of this medication is diarrhea. Rarely, it may cause:

    • Asthenia (weakness)
    • Disturbances in serum potassium and sodium concentration (electrolyte disturbances in blood)
    • Alopecia (hair falls out in small patches)
    • Pruritus (itch)
    • Skin rash
  • Precautions & Warnings

    You should practice these cautions before taking the medicine:

    • Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or lactating, and there’s no safer alternative available.
    • Talk to your doctor if you have hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to any of the components in the medicine.
    • Talk to your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease.
    • This medication may induce Vitamin K deficiency. Talk to your doctor if you are already vitamin K deficient.
  • Drug Interactions

    Evion Capsules may interact with:

    • Alkylating agents and anti-tumor antibiotics
    • Anticoagulants and anti-platelet drugs, herbs, and supplements
    • Cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) substrates
    • Statins and niacin
    • Vitamin K
  • Storage/Disposal

    Store the medicine at room temperature and keep out of direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and animals. Do not use the medication past its expiration date.
