Used to treat:

• meningitis
• infections of the blood, abdomen, skin, lungs, bones, and urinary tract

To be administered as per instruction of a healthcare practitioner

Seek medical help in case of overdose

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

This medication is given by injection into a vein or muscle. It is given as directed by your doctor, usually every 8 hours.

You should not use this medicine if:

• You have severe dehydration
• You have kidney disease

Common side effects incllude:

• nausea and vomiting
• stomach upset
• loss of appetite
• abdominal pain

Tell your doctor if:

• you have liver or kidney disease
• you have allergy to aminoglycoside antibiotics
• cystic fibrosis
• hearing issues
• kidney problems
• myasthenia gravis
• Parkinson's disease

Do not use in case you are already using:

• amikacin
• amphoterecin B
• cisplatin
• tobramycin
• cephalosporins
• NSAIDs
