This is used to treat Hepatitis C virus infections in combination with other anti-viral agents

The following dosage can be followed:

• Take medicine as prescribed by the doctor
• Do not skip a dose
• Do not stop medicine regimen early.
• Take the medicine at the same time each day

In case of an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.

Try not to miss a dose. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. Then continue your normal schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.

This medicine is to be taken at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food, but with a full glass of water. It is used in combination with other drugs, so do not use it alone.

Do not use in case of:

• allergy to sofosbuvir or any similar anti-viral drugs
• a known history of pancreatitis

Give a list of medicines to your healthcare practitioner in case you are taking any. A few of the known drug-drug interactions of sofosbuvir exist with:

• Amiodarone
• Rifampin
• Some anti-diabetics
• Anti-seizure medicines such as carbamazepine, phenytoin etc
• Tipranavir
• Warfarin
