In case of an overdose of Hydrocortisone Sodium Succinate, symptoms may include fluid retention, hypertension, hyperglycemia, electrolyte imbalances, and gastrointestinal disturbances such as peptic ulcers. Prolonged overdose can lead to suppression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, causing adrenal insufficiency. Immediate treatment involves discontinuing the drug or reducing the dosage, managing electrolyte imbalances, and providing symptomatic care. In severe cases, supportive measures such as fluid and electrolyte replacement may be required.
