IreCon (75mg) 10 Tablets

This medication contains two ingredients. Irbesartan relaxes the blood vessels. This lowers blood pressure and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart.

Angiotensin II receptor blocker

Irbesartan is used alone or together with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

Follow these dosage instructions:

• Initial therapy

Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg-Irbesartan 150 mg orally once a day; may increase after 1 to 2 weeks.

• Replacement Therapy

Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 to 25 mg-Irbesartan 150 to 300 mg orally once a day

• Maximum dose

Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg-Irbesartan 300 mg orally once a day

Seek emergency medical help if you think you have taken too much of this medicine.

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Swallow the tablet whole. Do not break, crush, or chew it. You may take this medicine with or without food.

Irbesartan tablets are contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any component of this product.

Side effects may include:

• Bloody or cloudy urine
• Chest pain
• Confusion
• Difficulty breathing
• Difficult, burning, or painful urination
• Fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
• Frequent urge to urinate
• Lower back or side pain
