Follow these dosage instructions:

• Initial dose

5 mg orally twice a day with meals

• Maximum dose

7.5 mg orally twice a day

Seek emergency medical help if you think you have taken too much of this medicine.

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Ivabradine comes as a tablet and as an oral solution (liquid) to take by mouth. It is usually taken with food twice a day. Take ivabradine at around the same times every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand.

Ivabradine is contraindicated in patients with severe hypotension (blood pressure < 90/50 mmHg)

• Fast or irregular heartbeat
• Lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting
• Pounding in the ears
• Slow or irregular heartbeat
• Unusual tiredness
