Uses
Metronidazole is used to treat bacterial infections of the vagina, stomach or intestines, liver, skin, joints, brain, heart, and respiratory tract. Metrogel (topical metronidazole) is also used to treat rosacea, a skin condition. Vaginal metronidazole gel is also used to treat bacterial infections of the vagina -
Dosage
Klint dosage for the indication of bacterial infections, duration of 7 days:
- Adults - 1 tablet every 8 hours for 7 days.
- Children - Not recommended.

In case of Overdose
In case of overdose, nausea, vomiting, and neurological effects might occur. Seek medical assistance for symptomatic treatment.

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, consume as soon as you remember. If it is close to the next feeding, skip the missed dose. Do not double up on doses.

Usually taken orally with food to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. Complete the full course as prescribed.

Metronidazole should not be used if:
- Hypersensitivity
- Severe liver impairment
- Alcohol consumption (disulfiram-like reaction)
