Lotricort-G 15g Cream

This medication is used to treat fungal skin infections. It contains Betamethasone Dipropionate + Clotrimazole which works by activating the natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, itching, and burning sensations. Clotrimazole is an anti-fungal used to treat fungal infections of the skin.

Corticosteriods

This medication is used to treat fungal skin infections, such as psoriasis and other scaly skin disorders, where itching, swelling, and redness are a problem.

Follow these dosage instructions:

• Take as per doctor's Prescription.
• Apply the cream on the affected site at least once daily.
• Your doctor will determine the treatment length based on your symptom severity.

If you think you have used too much of this medicine, talk to your doctor. Seek medical emergency help immediately. Watch out for overdose symptoms like irregular heartbeat, burning or itching skin, deafness, depression, altered mental state etc.

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Wash your hands thoroughly before using the cream. Use your fingertips to take a little amount of the cream, almost a thickness of 1/16cm, and apply the cream daily as your doctor has recommended. Take the medication regularly and at the same time each day to get the most benefit from it.

You should not use this medication, if:

• You are allergic to any component of the medication.
• You develop an allergic reaction after using the medication.
• Don't use it for any other skin infection other than the one you are getting treatment for.

Common side effects include:

• Redness, stinging, blistering, peeling, swelling, itching, burning, skin rash, dryness of the skin
• Inflammation of the hair follicles; excessive hair growth
• Darkening of the skin; allergic skin reactions; dermatitis around the mouth
• Blurred vision.

It would be best if you practiced these cautions before taking the medicine:

• Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or lactating, and there’s no safer alternative available.
• Avoid prolonged day use in children, don't use this medication to treat diaper rash.
• Avoid excessive use as corticosteroids can change certain hormone levels in the body.

Betamethasone and clotrimazole have no documented food interactions that affect their efficacy or safety. There are no specific dietary restrictions or food-related effects on their absorption.
