  • Description

Mirabegron is a beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist, used to treat symptoms of overactive bladder, such as frequent urination and urinary urgency. Mirabegron works by relaxing the bladder muscles by activating these beta-3 adrenergic receptors. It is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, reaching peak concentrations in the blood within an hour. It is then metabolized by the liver and excreted in the urine, with an approximate half-life of 9-10 hours.
