Potassium poisoning can cause life-threatening hyperkalemia, as harmful effects on the electric activity of the heart are the most important consequences of hyperkalemia. When serum potassium levels exceed 7 mmol/L, remarkable arrhythmic changes can be observed using electrocardiography. Seek immediate medical help in case of overdose

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Swallow with a glass of water with or without food. It is better to take right after meals

Do not use in case of:

• allergy to constituents
• high levels of potassium in the blood
• concomitant use with potassium sparing diuretic

Common side effects include:

• black stools
• gas
• nausea
• vomiting
• muscle weakness
• upset stomach

Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing

This medication may interact with these drugs:

• drospirenone
• amiloride
