This medicine is used to treat bacterial infections. It contains Linezolid, an oxazolidinone antibiotic, which works by inhibiting protein production and preventing bacteria from multiplying.

This medicine is used to treat bacterial infections, such as:

• Pneumonia (Streptococcus and Community-acquired)
• Skin infections and complicated skin structure infections (diabetic foot)
• Certain blood infections

Take as per doctor's prescription. The dosage depends on what your doctor suggests to you, based on your age, weight, and immune system condition. Do not stop the medication abruptly:

• Adult Dosage

The tablet dosage for adults is 600mg per day for 14-28 days. However, strictly adhere to what your doctor tells you.

• Child Dosage

For children under 12 years of age, the recommended dosage is 10mg/kilogram of body weight daily. The medication should be strictly under the supervision of a doctor who will determine the age and weight of the child.

If you think you have used too much of this medicine, talk to your doctor. Seek medical emergency help immediately.

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Take the tablets daily, preferably before meals or as your doctor has recommended. Take the medication regularly and simultaneously each day to get the most benefit from it. Do not take more of it, do not take it more often, and do not take it for a longer time than your doctor ordered.

Do not use this medication in these circumstances:

• Do not use this medication within 2 weeks of using MAO inhibitors.
• Do not use it if you have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the medicinal components.

Follow these precautions and warnings before starting the medication:

• Talk to your doctor if you have any allergic reaction or known hypersensitivity to any medicine components.
• If you are pregnant or a lactating mother, talk to your doctor before using this medicine.
• This medicine may cause infertility in men. Talk to your doctor about it.
• This medicine may cause low white blood cells and low platelets, which increases the chances of getting infections. Talk to your doctor if you have a weakened immune system.
• This medicine may cause low blood sugar levels. Talk to your doctor if you feel drowsy, confused, anxious or very hungry.

You should use this medication with caution. Using this medication with many other drugs is not recommended. Talk to your doctor in detail about all the medications you are taking and strictly adhere to the doctor's suggestions and prescriptions.

Linezolid may raise blood pressure if it is taken with specific foods or beverages. To avoid this, limit your intake of foods or beverages with a high tyramine content (most commonly found in foods that have been aged, fermented, pickled, or smoked to enhance flavor. Ask your doctor to give you a list of these foods and drinks.

Store the medicine at room temperature and keep out of direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and animals. Do not use the medication past its expiration date.
