    It is a partial agonist of the opioid receptors. It is also a weak kappa receptor antagonist and delta receptor agonist.

    Buprenorphine is utilized for the following therapeutic indications:

    • Management of opioid addiction
    • Pain relief in chronic pain conditions
    • Treatment of severe pain
    • Support for opioid detoxification
    • Mitigation of withdrawal symptoms
    • Management of moderate to severe chronic pain
    • Preoperative or postoperative pain management
    • An adjunct to general anesthesia

    Monitor patients for adverse reactions and consult a doctor immediately

  • Missed Dose

    Try not to miss a dose. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. Then continue your normal schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
