    The contraceptive effect of Lynestrenol (Exluton) is achieved primarily by increasing the viscosity of the cervical mucus, thus reducing sperm penetration. Other effects include the decreased receptivity of the endometrium to the oocyte and the disturbed transport through the tubes.
