It acts by blocking afferent 5-HT3 receptors peripherally on the vagus nerves and centrally in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ). These actions result in reducing symptoms of nausea and vomiting in affected patients.

Call your doctor right away if you have a rash, itching, hoarseness, trouble breathing, trouble swallowing, or any swelling of your hands, face, or mouth while you are using this medicine.

• tramadol
• serotonergic drugs
• chemotherapeutic drugs
• phenytoin
• carbamazepine
• atracurium
