  • Description

    Bacitracin is a polypeptide antibiotic that inhibits cell wall synthesis and is active against gram-positive bacteria. Polymyxin B is an antibiotic that disrupts the outer cell membrane of Gram negative bacteria, binds and neutralizes lipopolysaccharide, and inhibits respiration of Gram-negative bacterial cells.

    Used to treat:

    • eye inflammation
    • bacterial eye infections

  • In case of Overdose

    Overdose may cause unusual dizziness, dry mouth, severe headaches, seizures, fast heartbeats and severe nausea. Seek immediate help in case of overdose

  • Missed Dose

    Do not put more ointment in case of a missed dose. Consult a doctor in case of missed doses

  • How To Use

    Pull the lower eyelid away from skin to make space using clean hands and apply the ointment across the water line. Let go of the eye gently and do not blink.

  • When Not to Use

    Contraindicated in case of:

    • a viral or fungal infection
    • allergy to the constituents
    • tuberculosis
    • damaged cornea
    • ulcerations
    • increased eye pressure

  • Side Effects

    Common side effects include:

    • swelling of face
    • itching
    • eye irritation

  • Precautions & Warnings

    Use with caution in case of severe injury to the eye
