    Tinidazole is an anti-infective drug used mainly in the treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms, particularly anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. It is responsible for disrupting the DNA helical structure, thus inhibiting nucleic acid synthesis.

    Prevent Tablet is used for the treatment of • Parasitic infections of the intestine (amoebiasis and giardiasis) • Sexually transmitted disease (trichomoniasis)

  • Dosage

    Follow these dosage instructions:

    • Adult Dosage

    2 grams once a day for 3-5 days. Your doctor may adjust your dose as needed.

    • Child Dosage

    The dosage for the child is strictly recommended by the doctor.

  • In case of Overdose

    Seek emergency medical help if you think you have taken too much of this medicine.

  • Missed Dose

    If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

  • How To Use

    Prevent Tablet is usually taken with food as a single dose or once a day for 2 to 5 days. To help you remember to take tinidazole (if you are to take it for more than one day), take it around the same time every day.

    The use of tinidazole is contraindicated:

    • In patients with a previous history of hypersensitivity to tinidazole or other nitroimidazole derivatives.
