Product Information
Quinine 300MG Tablet primarily acts by interfering with the growth and replication of certain parasites, particularly those belonging to the Plasmodium species, which cause malaria. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the hemozoin biocrystallization process within the parasite. Normally, the malaria parasite digests hemoglobin, releasing toxic ferriprotoporphyrin IX (FP), which it manages to detoxify by converting it into an insoluble crystalline form called hemozoin. Quinine disrupts this process by binding to FP and inhibiting its conversion to hemozoin, leading to the accumulation of toxic FP within the parasite. This disruption ultimately results in the death of the Plasmodium parasite, thereby treating malaria.
Antimalarial, Antipyretic, Antiprotozoal.

More severe cases can lead to irregular heart rhythms, severe headaches, and confusion. If an overdose is suspected, prompt medical intervention is necessary. Seek emergency medical care, and provide healthcare professionals with the patient's medical history and details of the overdose, including the quantity and timing of ingestion.
In the case of a missed dose of Quinine 300MG Tablet, it is important to take action as soon as possible. If you remember within a few hours of the missed dose, take the tablet immediately. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
