At higher concentrations, ranolazine inhibits rapid delayed rectifier potassium current, thus delaying action potential and prolonging QT interval. Ranolazine also inhibits fatty acid oxidation, which enhances glucose oxidation, reduces lactic acid production, and improves heart function.

• spinning sensation

• you face serious side effects such as nausea or vomiting that doesn’t stop, fainitng spells, irregular heartbeats
• you have any serious medical condition or taking any medication for those
• you are pregnant ot planning to conceive

• phenytoin
• phenobarbital
• metformin
• drugs that treat fungal infections
• clarithromycin
• rifampin
