  • Description

Cyclosporin, the active ingredient in Cyclosporin Drops, primarily exerts its immunosuppressive effect by forming a complex with cyclophilin, a cytosolic protein found in T-lymphocytes. This drug-protein complex inhibits calcineurin, a calcium-dependent phosphatase enzyme. By blocking calcineurin, cyclosporin prevents the dephosphorylation and nuclear translocation of the nuclear factor of activated T cells (NF-AT), which is essential for the transcription of specific cytokine genes, such as interleukin-2 (IL-2). This inhibition suppresses T-cell activation and proliferation, thereby reducing the immune response in the targeted area.

If you miss multiple doses, contact your healthcare provider for guidance on how to adjust your dosing schedule and ensure the medication's effectiveness.

Pay attention to the expiration date on the packaging and dispose of any unused or expired medication responsibly. Avoid flushing or pouring the medication down the drain; instead, seek advice from a pharmacist or healthcare professional on appropriate disposal methods.
