Product Information
70% Insulin degludec and 30% insulin aspart is a mixture of two types of insulin used to help lower blood sugar levels in people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. This medication is typically prescribed to help manage blood sugar levels in those who require more than monotherapy (single therapy with one type of insulin) and have been established on a dose of insulin degludec and insulin aspart separately. The two types of insulin work differently once in the body. Insulin degludec is a long-acting insulin that works continuously over a 24-hour period to help control blood sugar levels. Insulin aspart is a rapid-acting insulin that works more quickly to help reduce blood sugar levels within 30 minutes of administration, peaking after 1-3 hours and lasting for 3-5 hours.
