It is in the synthetic neurotoxic pyrethroid class of medicine. It targets eggs, lice, and mites via working on sodium transport across neuronal membranes in arthropods, causing depolarization. This results in respiratory paralysis of the affected arthropod.

• head lice infections

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Contraindicated in case of:

• broken or secondarily infected skin
• allergy to the constituents

Common side effects include:

• skin rash, swelling and redness
• numbness and tingling where medicine was applied
• mild and transient burning and stinging

Cautions include:

• Avoid contact with eyes, mucus membranes, genital areas or sensitive parts
• If it gets into eyes, flush them thoroughly with water at once
• Use as much medicine as you need and discard the remaining properly
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant
