  • Description

    This medicine treats dizziness caused by a certain disorder of the inner ear (Meniere's disease). It contains Betahistine, an antihistamine-antivertigo drug, which works by enhancing histamine synthesis within tuberomammillary nuclei of the posterior hypothalamus and histamine release within vestibular nuclei through antagonism of H(3) autoreceptors.

  • Uses

    This medicine is used to treat vertigo in Ménière’s disease. It works by improving blood flow in the inner ear. This lowers the build-up of pressure. The signs of Ménière’s disease include:

    • Feeling dizzy (vertigo)
    • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
    • Hearing loss or hearing difficulty
  • Dosage

    Follow these dosage instructions:

    • For adults (above 18)

    1 tablet of Enier 8mg 3-4 times a day or prescribed by the doctor.

    • For children (below 17)

    Please consult the doctor for children dosage.

  • In case of Overdose

    Seek medical help immediately if you think you have overdosed on this medicaton.

  • Missed Dose

    If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

  • How To Use

    Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water without chewing after a meal. Take twice or thrice daily as recommended by doctor.

    Don’t use this medication if you have:

    • Allergic reaction to Enier 8mg Tablet or similar drugs
    • An adrenal gland tumor (pheochromocytoma)
    • Peptic /gastric ulcers
    • Age groups under 18 years
    • Malignant hypertension

    Common side effects include:

    • Being sick (vomiting)
    • Stomach pain
    • Stomach swelling (abdominal distension)
    • Bloating
