Seroxat CR (25mg) 30 Tablets

This medicine is used to treat certain psychological disorders. It contains Paroxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, which works by increasing levels of serotonin in the brain.

This medicine is used to treat psychological disorders, such as:

• Depression
• Anxiety
• Panic Attacks
• Obsessive-compulsive Disorder
• Post-traumatic Stress Disorder

Take as per doctor's prescription. The dosage depends on what your doctor suggests to you, based on your age, weight, and immune system condition. Do not stop the medication abruptly:

• Adult Dosage

The starting dosage is 20mg daily for adults. The doctor may need to adjust the dose. However, the usual dosage should not exceed 50mg/day.

• Child Dosage

Use is not recommended for children.

Overdose symptoms include irregular heartbeat, fainting, severe dizziness, seizures. If you think you have used too much of this medicine, talk to your doctor. Seek medical emergency help immediately.

If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

Take the tablets daily in the morning as your doctor has recommended. Take the medication regularly and simultaneously each day to get the most benefit from it. Do not take more of it, do not take it more often, and do not take it for a longer time than your doctor ordered.

Do not use this medication if:

• You have a hypersensitivity or are allergic to paroxetine.
• You have hepatic or renal insufficiency.
• You have a heart problem - because this medication can cause irregular heartbeats.
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You have glaucoma - this medication can increase the pressure in the eye.
• You have epilepsy.

• Drowsiness

• Trouble sleeping
• Loss of appetite
• Weakness
• Dry mouth
• Sweating
• Blurred vision
• Yawning

Follow these precautions and warnings before starting the medication:

• Talk to your doctor if you have any allergic reaction or known hypersensitivity to any medicine components.
• Tell your doctor if you have a family history of bipolar disorder, suicide attempts, liver problems, or kidney problems.
• Tell your doctor if you have low blood sodium, have seizures, have bleeding problems, personal or family history of glaucoma.
• Do not self-medicate.

Paroxetine interacts with:

• Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs)
• Other medications that raise serotonin levels
• Blood thinners.
• Tamoxifen
• Some antipsychotics

Store the medicine at room temperature and keep out of direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and animals. Do not use the medication past its expiration date.
