  • Description

    This medicine is used to prevent and relieve pain during certain medical procedures. It contains Lignocaine, a local anesthetic, and antiarrhythmic drug, which works by blocking sodium channels and decreasing the rate of heart contractions When injected near the nerve, the nerves cannot conduct signals to or from the brain, thus producing the numbing effect.

    This medicine is used for the treatment of:

    • Itching and pain caused by hemorrhoids
    • Certain problems of the genital or anal area, such as; itching around the vagina and anal fissures. sometimes used for treating irregular heart rhythms that may signal a possible heart attack.
    • To numb the lining of the mouth, throat, or nose before certain medical procedures (such as intubation)
    • To relieve pain caused by swelling of the urinary tract (urethritis).
    • Given in an epidural (spinal block) to reduce the discomfort of contractions during labor.

  • Dosage

    Take as per doctor's prescription. The dosage depends on what your doctor suggests to you, based on your age, weight, and immune system condition. Do not stop the medication abruptly. Do not use more than 4 doses in a period of 24 hours.

    If you think you have used too much of this medicine, talk to your doctor. Seek medical emergency help immediately.

  • Missed Dose

    If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

  • How To Use

    A medical practitioner applies this medication to the area being treated or to the equipment used in a medical procedure. Usually, it is applied right before your surgery. If you are taking this medication at home, read the product leaflet and consult your doctor for all preparation and usage instructions. Use clean hands and clean the affected area before applying. Keep this medication out of your eyes. After using, wash your hands. Once used, discard any gel that isn't used.

  • When Not to Use

    Do not use this medication in these circumstances:

    • You are allergic to this medicine or its contents.
    • You are going to use it on a wound or cut.
    • You have a medical history of a blood pigmentation disorder known as porphyrias.
    • Do not use in cases of complete heart block and hypovolemia (decrease in volume of blood in the body).

    Common side effects include:

    • Mild nausea, stinging, swelling, or burning.

    This medication may cause very serious side effects if you are using too much of it or are very sensitive to its effects. Stop using this medication and get medical help right away if you have any very serious side effects, including

    • Dizziness, drowsiness,
    • Shaking, seizures
    • Vision changes (such as double/blurred vision)
    • Ringing in the ears
    • Fainting
    • Pale/bluish/gray skin
    • Unusual tiredness
    • Shortness of breath
    • Fast/slow/irregular heartbeat
