Uses
It is used for UTI, infections of lower respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues, urethral and cervical gonorrhoea, non-gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis. -
Side Effects
GI upset, skin reactions, CNS disturbances. Reports of hypersensitivity reactions, suicidal thoughts and behaviour, peripheral neuropathy, tendinitis, tendon rupture. Injection: pain at inj site, thrombophlebitis. -
Precautions & Warnings
Should be used with caution in patient with Psychiatric disorders, renal and hepatic impairment, Myasthaenia gravis, diabetes, G6PD deficiency, risk factors for QT prolongation. Advise patients to report signs of liver disease.
